2nd Voting Meeting – November 7, 2018
Children’s Guardian Fund was the winning charity
We raised $14,300.
On November 7, 2018 we had 89 of our 146 members in attendance at our second voting meeting. The three presenters did a fabulous job with their presentations. Congratulations to all of them.
Children’s Guardian Fund, Inc. Presented by Jean Saylor
More than 1,400 children in Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto counties have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. The Children’s Guardian Fund and the Guardian ad Litem Program work together to ensure that your people who do not have the support of their parents at least have the support of their community. They provide things from tutoring to sports fees, from an instrument to play in the school to soccer shoes. These items and experiences allow them to develop a sense of normalcy and self-worth.

The Twig – Beams of Grace Presented by Paula Griffin
The Twig is a faith-based organization that serves foster children and their families by providing clothing and accessories.
The Academy at Glengary, Inc. Presented by Connie Abood
The Academy is a vocational training center for adults living with mental health challenges.
